A few things to know before you connect.
What is an MTProto proxy?
An MTProto proxy relays traffic between your Telegram app and Telegram servers. It can help you connect when your network limits direct access.
How often is the list updated?
We check proxy connectivity periodically. The directory refreshes its results every 90 seconds while the page is visible. Availability can change between checks.
Does lower latency mean a faster connection?
Lower latency means a quicker response from our checking server. Your own speed also depends on your location, network and proxy load.
Can a proxy read my messages?
Telegram traffic remains encrypted, but a proxy operator can see your IP address and connection timing. Telegram cloud chats are not end-to-end encrypted; Secret Chats are.
